From Dental Assistant to Cakes, Cookies and Confections

For as long as I can remember I have been making my sister's Cream Cheese Pound Cake. I mean that recipe is burned into my brain! Who would have thought it would launch me into the sweet, wonderful, challenging, scientific, creative, brain-frying, world of BAKING.

In the many career chapters of my life I have been fortunate enough to work the spectrum. Dental Assistant, Graphic Designer, Artist, Product Developer, Administrator for a Preschool... But when someone suggested I start SELLING my sister's (we call her Chatchi) Pound Cake, well that was all it took... another challenge I needed to add to my belt!

It would be great if the story ended there and I went on to talk about my fame and fortune as "Atlanta's Hot New Baker!" But... if you're Left Handed (like I am), completely Right Brained (like I am), am 49 years old with a mild to severe case of ADD (like I do), and have been enjoying the stay-at-home-mom/Middle-school-PTA-President life for the past 2 years... you'll understand the challenges and hurdles that I have been going through for the past 3 months, and happily continue each and everyday of this wonderful Generations Bakery experience.
